KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology is a young and premier autonomous Institution, which is approved by AICTE and is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. KPRIET was incepted in the year 2009 by The KPR Group of Industries, Coimbatore which has a large presence in Textiles, Sugar, Renewable Energy and Automobiles in India and abroad. The vision of the institution is to provide world class engineering education and create Engineers, Technologists and Researchers to serve the nation and the globe. KPRIET today has blossomed into a mature Institution of higher learning, offering eight UG programmes in Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, Biomedical, Chemical, Civil, Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics, and Mechanical Engineering and four PG Programmes in CAD/ CAM, CSE, Structural Engineering and VLSI. Six of the departments viz. Civil, CSE, ECE, Mechanical, Physics and Chemistry are recognised by Anna University as centres of Research for pursuing Ph.D. programmes.
KPRIET is accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ Grade and Five UG Programmes viz. Civil, CSE, ECE, EEE and Mech are accredited by NBA. KPRIET is ranked among the top 200 Institutions in India during the year 2018, which is a rare achievement for an Institution in a short span of time. This Institution is certified as Scientific Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) by DSIR. The Institution is also ISO certified for QMS and EMS.
