Raghu Kalidindi,CHAIRMAN Founded by the renowned academician, Raghu Kalidindi, Raghu Engineering College and Raghu
Institute of Technology, are two NBA accredited technical campuses located in Andhra Pradesh. With
a systematic approach for an effective teaching – learning practice, today the institutes have already made their
mark in the Indian Higher Education System.
T wo decades ago, intermediate
students from
Visakhapatnam and
nearby areas would
state with conviction,
“Raghu sir is the best in Physics.” Despite
being the Founder Chairman of
Raghu Educational Society, Raghu
Kalidindi or students’ favorite Raghu
sir still conducts classes for engineering
aspirants of his institutions.
“Raghu sir usually teaches Mechanics
and Engineering Drawing for first
year students and his subject knowledge
and ability to deliver the same
in a simplified manner are second to
none. He is the key strength of Raghu
Engineering College (REC),”
says Seshi Kitan Karri, an alumnus
of REC.
As a student, Raghu Kalidindi
had been a topper all through his
life, but his ambition was not to
become a teacher. In the early
1990s, he took up a teaching job
at a tutorial as a pastime. Raghu,
however, was destined to be a great
academician. He instantly struck an
emotional chord with students and
since then he has been immersed in
the teaching profession. In 1996,
he established Raghu Educational
Society to cater to the educational
services of students by imbibing
moral and ethical values. It has grown
from strength to strength and now
Raghu Educational Society runs two
engineering colleges, one pharmacy
college, a degree college, a junior
college and a school to fulfill the
needs of the students. “A teacher has
the unique ability to mould young
minds so that they lead a positive and
successful life. We strongly believe
this to be the Mahamantra and have
developed a curriculum to promote
a centre for holistic learning,”
says Raghu Kalidindi.
While most of the engineering
institutes in the country are
constrained to follow the stagnant
curriculums prescribed by the
universities they are affiliated to,
Raghu Educational Institutions have
created platforms where students
can acquire knowledge beyond their
textbooks and regular practical
sessions. They have introduced
new learning practices on Catia,
Ansys, Embeded systems, PLC
along with special training program
on personality development,
communication skills and soft skills.
At Raghu Engineering
College, you will meet
all the good, friendly
people – from
students to lecturers.
You will enjoy
freedom to think, to
express yourself and
to succeed

CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGE
“The result of last two years placement is enough to prove the
excellence of Raghu Institute of Technology. I had five offers
from major recruiters before I decided to join Mphasis,” says
Annapurna, who graduated from Raghu Institute of Technology
in 2015. At Raghu Educational Institutions, pre-placement
trainings start from
the second year of the
program and continue
till they attend campus
recruitment drives in
the final year. “We are
committed to impart
value based education to
students.
Students who
join our institutions are
immensely benefited by getting good placement
offers from MNCs and Indian companies,” says
Raghu Kalidindi.
Since its inception, the institutes under
Raghu Educational Society have been proactive
in the process of making MoUs with industries
to impart technical training in the specialized
areas. Recently, they have made MoU with Midas
solutions, Korea for training the students in their
software, Midas nfx. “We aim to make more MoUs
and tie- up’s with different industries in the near
future. This helps our students to update their
knowledge and meet the industry expectations.
We believe that hands-on-experience is a must for
any engineering graduate,” says Raghu Kalidindi.
Today, with more than 4000 students in the
campus, Raghu Educational Society has proposed
many changes to meet the changing trends in
the industry scenario. They have established
R&D centers in the institutions along with an
incubation centre and invite industry experts
frequently to share their expertise with the
students. “Our main aim is to convert these
institutions in to a Deemed University so that
we can take autonomous decisions to incorporate
value added courses in the curriculum by giving
more impetus on skill development programs
and make students employable,” concludes Raghu
Kalidindi with immense confidence.
