Rayat Bahra Group

The Rayat Bahra University in Mohali and Bahra University in Shimla Hills are the two universities managed by the Rayat Bahra Group of Educational Institutions. The Group consists of 50 plus institutions which cater to more than 30,000 students and has more than 6000 employees.

Most Universities are focused on the fact that research is an important criterion to gain national or global level recognition. However, the most important duty of a University is to provide the students with the right knowledge which can be applied practically in real life. While various institutes can conduct a variety of programs or other events to make their students become successful in life, it is the duty of the university to guide the institutes on how they can reach this goal rather faster. Rayat Bahra University is one such university which is more focused on providing the nation and the globe with professional candidates who can use their knowledge to increase business profitability, innovate new technologies or conduct research in new areas and provide some insight into the same.

The University which is located in Mohali is a venture of Rayat-Bahra Group of Institutes and has been providing technical, medical and professional education for more than 15 years since its establishment. The University is extremely focused on making its graduates smart professionals and has been able to guide its students on the correct path that they want to pursue.

Over 3000 students have got placed straight from the campus in companies such as Wipro Technologies, HCL Technologies,

Coca Cola, Abbott Healthcare, Hyatt Hotels, Royal Bank of Scotland, Bosch, Cognizant Technologies, Marriott Hotels and many others. Apart from these students who got placed, more than 200 students have started their own businesses and taken up self-employment. There are also 116 students who have joined their family businesses and have started making them more profitable from before after their education at Rayat Bahra University.

While more than 1000 students have taken the step to pursue their higher and research studies, the University has been extremely supportive and encouraged them to pursue their dreams. The University integrates teaching, learning, research and extension education into a holistic framework. It provides access to the high quality education, cutting-edge research and development of new technologies and thus has taken a range of steps in order to achieve it.

Curriculum based on Industry Focus

The University has ensured in building up and constantly changing the curriculum which is focused on the developments in the industry. Through this, students are able to understand what the industry requires and how to adapt to the growing demands. The delivery focus on learning is changed in order to engage and involve the students more closely with what is taught in class. Rayat Bahra University utilizes the benchmarks set by the best institutions around the world in order to provide the best to the thousands of students who are pursuing their studies to achieve their dreams.

The unique feature of the courses offered are that most of the courses are designed and developed in association with top Industry giants under the skill development centre which houses major industries like Volkswagen, Volvo, Eicher, Royal Enfield, Ford, Bosch, TCS, IBM and others under one roof. At the same time, special expert sessions are organized for the benefit of students which are delivered by top officials of major

corporate houses.

It is also important to note that the training and placement cell work closely with academicians who create the curriculum in order to provide the students with domain and soft skills. As the University emphasizes on the various facets like communication skills, overall development of personality, it also focuses on bringing out the leadership quality in an individual by creating an atmosphere congenial for teamwork.

In order to enhance its efforts in the area of research in various domains the University has signed MoUs and formed International collaborations with foreign universities and corporate organizations such as California State University Fullerton, Clemson University and Thunderbird School of Global Management & Industrial collaboration with Microsoft, CISCO, JAVA and others.

Rayat Bahra University believes in not just developing achievement oriented skills but also developing humane values in students by organizing many community projects and social events. These include blood donation camps, free medical checkups, tree plantation, seminars and various other activities. To develop an all round personality; the University places equal emphasis on sports and provides students with various opportunities to participate in various activities.
