"Extra-curricular activities help students to learn about themselves and develop and use their skills and knowledge in different contexts. Such activities are an essential element of the university experience. The University with its students has established sports clubs and different societies," says Dr. Anshu Surana, Vice Chairman, Deepshikha Kala Sansthan.

UoT believes that international partnerships through research and teaching collaborations are essential in delivering its overall
strategic aims. "As a principal research-led institution, we are committed to building an international presence through activities that transcend national boundaries and that allow us to engage with students and researchers at like-minded institutions spanning across geographies. We have also signed MoU with Waiariki Institute of Technology, New Zealand and Florida Atlantic University, the USA for mutual collaboration in the areas of student and faculty exchange programs, joint training and research activities among others," added Dr. R.L. In order to truly empower students, the University Placement Cell also emphasizes on grooming the student completely so tomorrow's new challenges can be dealt with effectively. The cell helps students recognize their skills and shortcomings through a series of tests and workshops. Furthermore, it conducts general workshops for all students so they may develop certain qualities which will aid them in handling personal and career challenges. Leadership skills, problem-solving, career management and self-management are just some of the focus areas of the Placement Cell. The University of Technology trusts that creating an engaged, supportive alumni network is crucial to an institution's success. Keeping this in mind, the University has also established Alumni Cell so that they are kept informed and they remain engaged and keep abreast on the progress of the university.

The Journey Ahead
Since its inception, University of Technology has aimed to improve employment opportunities for the people and to support the community by providing access to relevant applied knowledge. The IEDC of the University provides a platform to the students and faculty members with innovative ideas for the betterment of the society by providing them with infrastructure to transform their ideas into products and services. "Our mission is to commit to a system of learning that unfolds far-reaching ability to explore, expedite and empower different traits and facets of education to break-open new opportunities and possibilities for each and every aspirant. This aim further extends to develop a synergistic ecosystem enabling the seamless exchange of ideas while creating a multi-disciplinary approach to allow students to achieve and apply the best of their potential," concludes Dr. Godara.
