BookMyForex Unveils New Forex Scheme for Students Studying Abroad

BookMyForex (a MakeMyTrip Group company) has recently introduced a forex card with no cross-currency or ATM withdrawal fees, and has initiated a promotional campaign that provides cashback on its forex cards and tuition fee transfers for students intending to study abroad.

The advantages - up to Rs 7,500 cashback on forex cards and up to Rs 15,000 on money transfers are contingent and dependent on spending limits, eligibility requirements, and usage limitations. For individuals purchasing forex cards or currency notes, cashback begins at Rs 100 for transactions exceeding Rs 25,000 and can reach up to Rs 7,500 for orders surpassing Rs 3.75 lakh.

This offer is available exclusively for new users, and students have to use the same phone number and email ID associated with MakeMyTrip or GoIbibo to be eligible. The promo code CRAZYSALE needs to be entered when placing your order, and the cashback will not be processed automatically— students must manually provide their bank account information within 60 days of finalizing the transaction.

Likewise, students or parents sending money for tuition or other international costs can receive up to Rs 15,000 in cashback. However, this is also on a sliding scale, beginning at Rs 450 for remittances of Rs 3 lakh and culminating in the highest advantage only for transfers of Rs 50 lakh or greater.

The promotion is restricted to a single transaction per user throughout the campaign, and the promo code REMITSPL must be applied at the time of booking. If you forget to use the code or cancel the order afterward, you forfeit the entire cashback. The company also promotes a "lowest-rate guarantee," pledging to refund twice the difference if customers discover a better exchange rate elsewhere.

However, this is limited to a specific group of currencies, applies only to online services approved by the RBI, and does not cover any other ongoing promotions. Offline quotes are not included, and the cashback from this specific campaign cannot be considered in the comparison. The campaign remains active until September 15. Same-day card delivery is available for orders made before 1 PM on weekdays.
