Macquarie University Launches VC's International Scholarships

Macquarie University in Australia has declared a Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship available for all undergraduate and postgraduate students. The scholarship provides a tuition fee discount of up to AUD $50,000 for exceptional students aiming to undertake undergraduate or postgraduate studies in Australia.

Students can obtain up to AUD $40,000 from the India early acceptance scholarship, along with $10,000 from the Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship, thus lowering their study expenses.

The university stated in a release that any international student seeking an undergraduate or postgraduate degree on campus must meet the following criteria to be eligible for the scholarship grant. To meet the requirements, one must be an Indian citizen, accept a Letter of Offer, and pay the commencement fee on time, remain enrolled in all mandatory study periods, and not be receiving a government scholarship or sponsorship that fully covers tuition fees, unless authorized by the Macquarie University Scholarship Team.

The scholarship eligibility requirements are: applicants need to be full-time international students starting an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program (excluding Graduate Certificates).

To be eligible, postgraduate candidates need to have a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 65, whereas undergraduate candidates must possess a minimum Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) of 85. Moreover, students are required to begin their studies in the term and year indicated in their scholarship offer letter.
