New Strategic Tie-Up Aims to Improve Outcomes for Indian Students

- NISAU–ICEF partnership aims to improve transparent student recruitment practices.
- Collaboration sets shared standards to guide Indian students responsibly.
- Initiative promotes ethical recruitment, countering misleading agents in India.
A newly announced strategic collaboration in London between one of the UK’s biggest student organizations and an international education agency is anticipated to enhance results for Indian students through more equitable recruitment methods.
The National Indian Students and Alumni Union (NISAU) UK stated that its partnership with International Consultants for Education and Fairs (ICEF) will improve transparency, elevate standards, and provide accurate and responsible guidance from the initial inquiry to graduation, ultimately enhancing the overall experience of international students abroad.
“International students deserve clarity, transparency, and support they can trust,” said ICEF CEO Markus Badde. “By joining forces with NISAU, we are combining ICEF’s global experience with a strong student voice to raise standards across borders,” he said.
The collaboration will initially concentrate on three main aspects: encouraging ethical and transparent recruitment methods in the India-UK context; creating common standards and guidance to assist students and institutions; and generating collective insights that shape policy and sector best practices.
“ICEF’s long-standing commitment to quality will help ensure that students receive the right support at the right time. This partnership puts students at the centre of recruitment practice,” said Sanam Arora, NISAU UK Founder and Chair.

The demand for reliable information, transparent quality standards, and authentic safeguarding for international students is regarded as essential during a period when policy frameworks are continually changing in significant higher education hubs such as the UK.
Both organizations anticipate that their new partnership will represent a significant advancement towards a more transparent and student-centered worldwide system, challenging the deceptive and unethical actions of certain questionable agents active in India.
In this regard, NISAU UK had previously revealed the initiation of the globe's first student-focused "Agent of the Year" Award as a component of its yearly India-UK Achievers Honours. The award will be presented for the first time in February 2026 to honor “integrity, transparency, and genuine student care” in recruiting Indian students to higher education in the UK.
