Romania opens scholarship applications for Filipinos now

Filipinos who wish to study abroad should consider applying to the Romanian government scholarship program which provides funding to international students.

The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has officially opened applications for its annual scholarship offering which provides funding for bachelors, masters and doctoral studies across all academic disciplines except for medicine, dental, medicine and pharmacy.

The program requires students to complete a preparatory year which teaches them Romanian language skills before they start their university studies.

The program helps international students by providing them with the necessary resources to succeed academically and adapt to Romania's educational system.

The "Study in Romania" platform allows interested applicants to submit their applications online until March 31 2026.

The Romanian Embassy in Manila confirmed that the scholarship will cover all expenses for the preparatory language year and the tuition fees and student dormitory accommodation costs, providing a complete funding package for students who want to study in Romania.

The embassy announced that applicants will receive their selection results through email which will be sent to them by July 15 2026.

The scholarship provides Filipino students with an essential opportunity to obtain quality education in Romania which will enhance their academic and professional development while they experience a different culture and environment.
