Slovenia Announces 2025–26 Scholarships for Indian Students

The Republic of Slovenia is providing scholarships to Indian students for the 2025-26 academic year. This scholarship is applicable for short-term mobility initiatives and will be effective from 1 October 2025 to 30 September 2026. This scholarship provided to Indian students by the Republic of Slovenia lasts for a complete ten months.

This scholarship provided by the Republic of Slovenia to Indian students is targeted at university/college students, as well as bachelor's and PhD candidates. All students interested in continuing their studies or research at Slovenian higher education institutions are eligible to apply for this scholarship. However, this scholarship will not be applicable to full-degree programs.

To be eligible for this scholarship from the Republic of Slovenia, students must be 26 years old or younger when applying for studies (they must not turn 26 before the scholarship period ends). However, the age restriction for students participating in research is 30 years.

When seeking studies in the Republic of Slovenia, the student is required to show proficiency in the Slovenian language, unless a different arrangement has been made with the mentor or supervisor.

Students will obtain a monthly stipend of 400 euros (which could be reassessed and modified from time to time). Furthermore, the students will be provided with free lodging, meals, and drinks. CMEPIUS will provide complimentary accommodation in hostels, and subsidized food will be accessible through the Student Organization of Slovenia. Moreover, primary health insurance will be accessible for non-EU students, provided by CMEPIUS.

The Republic of Slovenia's Center for Mobility and European Educational and Training Programs (CMEPIUS) will oversee the application and assessment procedure for this scholarship.
