GATE 2026 Paper-Wise Exam Schedule Released

- IIT Guwahati publishes the GATE 2026 schedule with detailed session timings.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati published the timetable for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026. The comprehensive timetable (exam date, time, and paper code) can be found on the official GATE 2026 website, which is gate2026.iitg.ac.in.
GATE 2026 will take place in two sessions daily. The morning session is scheduled from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, while the afternoon session is from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. IIT Guwahati is set to release the result on March 19, 2026.
The GATE 2026 official website can be found at gate2026.iitg.ac.in. The assessment will take place on February 7, 8, 14, and 15 in the year 2026. The application period started on August 25 and concludes on September 28 (without late fees) and October 9 (with late fees).
The exams will be conducted over two weekends. On Saturday, February 7, 2026, the forenoon session (9:30 am to 12:30 pm) will include AG, ES, GG, IN, MA, MN, TF, XE, and XL papers, while the afternoon session (2:30 pm to 5:30 pm) will feature AE, BT, CH, CY, GE, PH, and XH papers.

February 8, 2026, the forenoon session will have CS-1 and ST papers, followed by CS-2, EY, NM, and PE papers in the afternoon. The next weekend begins with Saturday, February 14, 2026, where CE-1, EE, and PI papers will be held in the forenoon session, and BM, CE-2, ME, and MT papers in the afternoon. Finally, on Sunday, February 15, 2026, the forenoon session will include the EC paper, and the afternoon session will conclude with AR and DA papers.
Previously, the GATE exam committee declared that it would implement measures to avoid a scheduling clash with the Union Public Service Commission’s (UPSC) Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2026.
