GATE 2026 Registration Soon: Check Dates and Eligibility

Synopsis: GITAM has commenced registrations for GAT 2026 for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Eligible candidates can apply online until July 24, with the entrance examination scheduled for July 26.
The Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management, or GITAM for short, has started the registration phase for the GITAM Admission Test, aka GAT 2026. They are basically welcoming applications for admission into a pretty broad set of undergraduate, UG and postgraduate, PG programmes that are available across their multiple campuses. If you’re an eligible candidate you can go ahead and put in your application online, using the university’s official admission portal, pretty straightforward once you find it.
Based on the admission schedule, the final day to register for GAT 2026 is July 24, 2026. The university will run the entrance test on July 26, 2026, and the interviews plus the announcement of results will land on that same date too. For those candidates who are granted scholarships because of their performance, they need to finish the admission paperwork and pay the demanded fees by August 3, 2026, in order to keep their seats confirmed.
So the online application bit basically asks candidates to go over the official GITAM admission web site and hit the “Apply Now” option. Once there, applicants need to share the core information, like their name, email address, mobile number, state, study level, the preferred school, campus, and the actual programme they want to follow. After finishing the application form, candidates should double check every detail before they submit it online.

After you complete the registration form, applicants are also required to pay the prescribed application fee. Now the amount is not just one thing it varies based on the selected campus, the programme, and the academic discipline involved. GITAM has told candidates to look at the “Programme and Fees” section on the official website, so they can figure out what the exact application fee is for the course they have chosen, before they go ahead and make the payment.
The university has also rolled out important guidelines for those candidates who are appearing in the entrance examination. Applicants need to bring a printed copy of their e-hall ticket along with a valid photo identity proof to the examination centre , so please don’t just rely on digital stuff. For identification, they will accept documents like an Aadhaar card, PAN card, passport, voter identity card, or a driving licence.
Candidates were asked to report to their allotted exam centre 15 minutes before the test is set to start so that the verification process runs smoothly, and fairly. If at any point there is a mismatch, discrepancy, or some kind of error on the e-hall ticket, the candidates should immediately reach out to the university authorities, so they can get the required corrections done before the examination date actually arrives.
GAT acts as a kind of gateway for admission in some academic programmes at GITAM and also gives opportunities for eligible students to bag merit based scholarships. By running a transparent entrance exam and also a scholarship phase, the university hopes to spot deserving candidates, while supporting quality higher education across its multidisciplinary programmes for the 2026 academic session.
