IIIT Delhi Introduces AI Fabrics and Systems Course

The Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT-Delhi) has introduced a pioneering advanced course titled "Networks for AI/ML Systems" which focuses on AI fabrics and systems through its partnership with Marvell Technology Inc's Indian branch.

The course represents a groundbreaking achievement because it is the first of its kind to be established across the world while creating a major development for AI education in India through its integration of academic research with industrial expertise.

The newly established programme is designed to equip students with in-depth knowledge of the systems layer of modern AI and machine learning infrastructures areas which include networking fabrics and memory hierarchies and distributed execution methods which are essential for high-performance AI computing.

The curriculum was co-designed and will be co-taught by faculty from IIIT-Delhi and experts from Marvell which will provide ongoing technical support through its engineers and architects.

The collaboration intends to create shared research projects while establishing stronger connections between academic institutions and businesses which focus on developing advanced AI systems.

The programme combines hardware system design with its study of AI networking and CXL memory systems and AI simulation technologies. IIIT-Delhi officials state that advanced topic exposure enables students to face real-world AI infrastructure problems which standard curricula do not teach.

The course demonstrates national objectives for developing AI computing infrastructure and semiconductor knowledge, which positions IIIT-Delhi as a leader in advanced AI learning and research.
