IIM Kozhikode, Simplilearn Launch AI-Powered Product Program

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode has collaborated with Simplilearn -an online education platform offering professional certification courses to offer a 10-month-long Professional Certificate Programme in AI-Powered Product Development and Innovation aimed at training leaders to effectively navigate the fast-evolving product landscape driven by AI, according to a report by Shiksha.com.

The course is delivered live online by IIM Kozhikode faculty and consists of more than 120 live online learning hours covering the AI product lifecycle, including generative AI, prompt engineering, workflow automation, and ethical AI.

The curriculum merges the core product strategy with practice through case studies, project-based work, and a capstone project so professionals can take an AI product from idea to scale. It highlights data governance and ethical AI to ensure solutions support their business goals as demand for AI-based innovation continues to grow.

When explaining this initiative, Prof. Debashis Chatterjee, Director of IIM Kozhikode, said: "This project enables professionals to strategically harness AI. The capstone project will guarantee learners build a personalized AI playbook for meaningful change in the Real World." Kashyap Dalal, Co-founder and COO of Simplilearn, added,  "The program provides direct support outside the classroom throughout the lifecycle of an AI product with Dedicated Cohort Managers and Job Assist."

At the conclusion, a Certificate will be issued from IIM Kozhikode to participants completing the program (and capstone project) and a 3-day on campus immersion will be offered for experiential learning.
