IIT Bombay Launches JAM 2026 Site; Exam on February 15 2026

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has unveiled the official site for the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2026. The application portal will launch on September 5, 2025, and applicants can submit their applications via the official website at jam2026.iitb.ac.in.
According to the website, the JAM 2026 exam is scheduled for February 15, 2026. IIT Bombay has published the provisional timetable of key dates, subject-specific session hours, and exam city locations. As per details found on the official site, the examination is scheduled for February 15, 2026. The outcomes are expected to be revealed around March 20.
JAM is a nationwide entrance test for applicants aiming for admission to MSc, Joint MSc–PhD, MSc—PhD dual degree, and other postgraduate science programs provided by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and affiliated institutions.
Candidates who pass the JAM 2026 exam will be allowed to apply for admission to academic programs provided by participating institutes, as long as they satisfy the necessary Eligibility Requirements (ERs) and Minimum Educational Qualifications (MEQs) set by the individual institutions.

Apart from the IITs, numerous other institutions are likely to consider the JAM 2026 score, including the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru, Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs), Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy (IIPE), Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), and Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs) such as the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST) Shibpur, Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET), and Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT) through the Centralized Counselling for MSc/MSc (Tech.) Admission procedure (CCMN).
