JEE Main 2027 Registration Date, Expected Application Timeline

NTA is expected to open JEE Main 2027 Session 1 registration in late October. The exam is scheduled for January 22-30, with January 31 reserved as a buffer date.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to begin registration for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2027 Session 1 in the last week of October. The application dates, fee details and other instructions are yet to be confirmed through the official information bulletin. Candidates will be able to apply online through the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.

JEE Main is a national-level entrance examination for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes at National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and other participating institutions. The examination also serves as the qualifying test for JEE Advanced, which is used for admission to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).

According to the examination calendar announced by NTA, JEE Main 2027 Session 1 will be conducted on January 22, 23, 24, 28, 29 and 30. January 31 has been reserved as a buffer date. The examination will be held in multiple shifts, with candidates assigned specific dates and sessions. The dates for Session 2, scheduled for April 2027, are yet to be officially announced.

Candidates are advised to keep essential documents ready before registration, including scanned photographs, signatures and relevant academic certificates. Applicants should review the eligibility requirements and follow the instructions provided in the official notification before submitting their forms.

JEE Main is conducted in multiple languages and generally covers Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for the engineering paper. Aspirants should refer to the official syllabus and examination guidelines for the 2027 cycle rather than relying solely on previous years’ information.
