For most undergraduate programmes, candidates must have completed Class 12 or an equivalent examination in the science stream. Required subject combinations vary by course. Agriculture, horticulture and forestry generally accept candidates with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology, while Agricultural Engineering requires Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Science require the prescribed biology-related subjects.

Based on the published eligibility criteria from the previous admission cycle, candidates in the unreserved category generally need at least 50% aggregate marks, while eligible reserved-category candidates require at least 40%. Applicants should verify the final subject requirements, minimum marks, age conditions and applicable domicile rules in the OUAT 2027 prospectus before applying.

The application process is expected to take place online through the university's designated admission portal. In the previous admission cycle, undergraduate applicants completed Form A for registration and entrance examination participation, followed by Form B for academic details and course preferences. Submission of both forms was necessary for admission consideration.

Applicants should keep their Class 10 and Class 12 records, contact details, photograph and other prescribed documents ready. They must complete the registration, pay the applicable application fee, select an examination centre where required and retain the application confirmation.
