Asha International Institute of Marine Technology (AIIMT) is committed to transform young citizens of India to join the Merchant Navy as GP RATING under the guidelines of Directorate General of Shipping. This allows the students of the institute to join as Rating in any foreign / Indian ships, worldwide. Today a career in the shipping stratum is very challenging and requires honing of the capability of an individual to a fine art. In order to meet this requirement, AIIMT has established two campuses in Varanasi, and Mumbai (Pali) to create the perfect learning environment for their students.

AIIMT strictly follows the IMO conventions and STCW Regulations in training the seafarers. The Academy employs competent, trained and qualified faculties to train the seafarers. And in order to develop into a maritime education hub, AIIMT has complied with the International Standard ISO 9001: 2008. Apart from that, the institute is awarded ISO 9001:2008 quality certificate and graded B1 by IRS As per CIP.

Creating the Perfect Learning Environment
The programmes offered at AIIMT are carefully designed to take maximum advantage of the facilities and infrastructure available to enhance the learning experience and to build a culture of team work and professionalism among the students. The custom designed curriculum of the institute places great emphasis on practical training in order to increase the employability of their students. At AIIMT, the hostels are completely isolated and have all facilities as required by D. G. Shipping.

All cadets are provided with medical care and are subjected to medical examination periodically by the institute's Resident Medical Officer as well. Apart from this, the state of the art infrastructure at AIIMT

focuses on creating the perfect learning environment for their students to excel. This also means that students at AIIMT are perfectly poised to not only learn and train under the best circumstances but they will also be able to get a head-start in their professional careers as well.

A Notch above the Rest
AIIMT Varanasi institute is built in 10 acres self-contained campus having facilities for medical, library, swimming pool, banking, ATM, canteen, Xerox and internet facilities. Academic block has 10 spacious classrooms together with Computer lab, workshops (Hot workshop, seamanship, engine, machine, carpentry, plumbing) and simulators for

Steering, Radar, Arpa, Navigation and GMDSS. The lab and workshops are well-equipped with most-modern amenities.

The campus is situated just beside Varanasi International Airport in the midst of rural tranquility and the residents get benefit of the clean air, open spaces and moderate weather condition. AIIMT also has a policy of sharing resources among its various constituent colleges. Marine college of AIIMT offers unique opportunity to the cadets to have hands-on experience in all kind of machineries. So, Labs and workshops of AIIMT are also used by their students from time to time.

The models that we follow regarding online exams at that time were even considered as gold standards by many other educational institutions. We have already expanded our wings from Varanasi to Mumbai and we have our operations in Sikkim as well. Apart from that, we are currently establishing a Maritime institute in Pune that offers the entire gamut of maritime and STCW courses to the students".
