Around 70 percent of our graduates receive placements in the private sector in Manufacturing, R&D, Academics, Regulatory, Pharma covigilance, Clinical trials and Marketing. As far as the future is concerned, institute is aiming to further strengthen the vision of the institute in preparing graduate pharmacists to be leaders in health care and society, and a step by step approach is envisioned to understand and address the dynamic state of current health care requirements.
Through that the institute is aiming to get visibility and recognition at regional, national and international platforms, become a premier institute for concept building and be a service provider for newer professional dimensions, innovation for sustainability, and health care solutions for nation-building.
When it comes to research, institute has recognised research centre for Ph. D Program in four departments and also carrying funded projects of VGST, ICMR, RGUHS and BLDEU. Institute has received more than 2 crores research grants from both the public and private sectors for research activities.
Dr. M. B. Patil, President
Dr. M. B. Patil is the present President of the BLDE Association, a pioneer Educational Organization of North Karnataka running more than 75 Institutions under its umbrella including Arts, Science, Commerce, Engineering, Business Schools, Pharmacy, Nursing and BLDE (Deemed to be University). Dr.Patil played key role shaping the BLDE Association, where more than 36000 students are studying and about 4000 Staff Members are working. BLDE Association has contributed significantly in serving the educational needs of India.
Dr. M. B. Patil has been actively involved in Politics for the last 25 years; he served as Home Minister and Water Recourses Minister for the Government of Karnataka. Under his tenure as Water Recourses Minister, he has brought several major and minor irrigation projects to Karnataka particularly in Vijayapur and Bagalkot districts. These projects have made Vijayapur as an irrigated area which was previously known as draught sector.
