Patil College of Physiotherapy under the ambit of Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune (Deemed to be University), Reaccredited by NAAC with a CGPA of 3.62 on a four point scale at 'A' Grade (An ISO 9001: 2015 Certified University), have been instrumental in creating a vision to train general and specialised Physiotherapy professionals and cater to regional, national & global physiotherapy skilled manpower and service needs.

The College offers Undergraduate -Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) program and a Post Graduate - Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) in Orthopaedics, Musculo skeletal Science & Sports, Musculo skeletal Science & Hand Conditions, Musculo skeletal Science & Manual Therapy, Neuro sciences, and Cardio Respiratory Sciences, General & Community Based Rehabilitation and Paediatrics.

To complete the epitome of educational excellence, the college also offers Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physiotherapy. All the programs at Dr. D.Y. Patil College of Physiotherapy, Pune are approved by the Board of Studies which also ensures a periodic update on Physiotherapy curriculum in line with the changing needs of the society and the challenges of Physiotherapy education and practice.

Practice of bioethics in clinical and Physiotherapy domains is an innovative addition to our course content. With introduction of course on 'Bioethics' at Under-graduate and Postgraduate programs, students develop an awareness of the moral issues that might confront them; build decision-making matrices, recognize the psychological biases that impact their choices, articulate clear statements about ethical issues, and determine potential solutions.

The spacious college building, well equipped laboratories, thoughtfully planned classrooms, conference hall and well designed administrative office are extensive than the norms set by the Maharashtra State Council of Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy and Indian Association of Physiotherapists. College library employs the latest technology to provide the best learning to its users. Well-stocked with a huge collection of books on different subjects of physiotherapy, latest publications of national and international repute, eJournal and eBooks are continuously added to the collection to widen the horizon of knowledge.

Dr. D.Y. Patil College of Physiotherapy provides a combination of comprehensive and holistic approaches to all Critical Care, in-patient department attached to the 2000 bedded Dr. D.Y. Patil Hospital & Research Centre, Pune. The College OPD is visited by large section of community with various disabilities and for treating these disabilities there are designated space with good ventilation, illumination and all the ultra modern equipments to provide good health care. It includes curative, preventive and primitive health services through various Manual Therapy Techniques, Electrotherapy, Exercise therapy, Matrix Rhythm Therapy, Lymphastim Therapy, Shock wave Therapy, Long Wave therapy, Balance Master to name a few. Also, the college have EMG triggered biofeedback system that uses visual and auditory feedback for diagnostic, training and therapeutic purpose. Apart from these services, department also facilitates specialty clinic for Hand, Obesity, Endurance, Knee & Spine, Pain, Cerebral Palsy & Spastic on every day of the week. To complement our clinical services and assist our patients in reaching their maximum potential, a US based underwater treadmill training 'Aquaciser' is the uniqueness of our department.

Dr. D.Y. Patil College of Physiotherapy offers separate accommodation facilities with paramount features in the campus for boys and girls stocked with amenities for recreation, extra-curricular and co curricular activities. No efforts have been spared in creating an environment in which students are challenged to seek excellence academically, socially, physically, artistically, and spiritually.

The faculty provides Outcome Based Education and learner centric teaching through which our students learn from actual problems and try to achieve real objectives. College organises a wide range of activities designed to improve the performance of faculty members in education, research and administration. The institute promotes evidence based practice and to support that students & faculty members are encouraged to attend and participate in various international and national conferences for gaining the latest developments in the field of physiotherapy. The College gives an opportunity to organize and participate in sports event on a University State and National level. Dr. D.Y. Patil College of Physiotherapy provides the scholarship opportunities for the meritorious

students by Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth Merit Scholarship and also to the necessitous through DMER minority scholarship.

The college have signed several MOUs with numerous industries for the purpose of enriching the Quality of Education imparted to students. Some of the notable MOUs signed are with Ion Patel Sciences limited, Pune, Ruby Hall Clinic, Pune, Sudhanshu Badminton Academy, Pune and Wadhwani Foundation, Mumbai for Start up and Entrepreneurship Development.

The college has taken up on various programmes initiated by Government like 'Fit India movement' and 'Swaccha Bharat Abhiyan'. The NSS committee of the college has formed a unit of around 200 enthusiastic volunteers to undertake these programmes. The College has organized MAHA WALKATHON 2019 (an initiative by Government of Maharashtra), 2 km Maha Walk to spread awareness on Road Safety No Honking Responsible Driving. More than 800 faculty and students participated in this event and marked it successful.

Under the guidance of a young and visionary leader Dr. Somnath P. Patil, Secretary, Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth Society, the college introduced institutional Start up and innovation cell and is in the process of patent generation and protection of intellectual property of our research projects.
