Situated in one of the oldest cities of India, Dehradun, DIT University boast of a 21 Acres of lush green campus providing students a perfect ambiance to pursue their education. The Civil Engineering Department of the Institute was started in the year of 2009 and offers Under Graduate course in Civil Engineering with an intake capacity of 60 students, which

has now been increased to 120. An M. Tech. program in Structural Engineering is also being offered with a sanctioned intake of 18. The department has well qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty members and lab technicians coupled with state-of-the-art laboratories and modern infrastructure. Being a research-intensive institute, the department gives substantial importance to research and aims to achieve international-quality research in selected themes, encouraging a certain amount of fundamental research whilst focusing on applied research. Welcoming students from all over the country, the department takes explicit care of them right from their grooming sessions to

placement prospects. Students are encouraged to undertake in-depth training in various companies ensuring their placement way before completion of the course. A dedicated placement cell is placed on the campus which continuously strives to help students in pursuing their career goals by acquiring employment-seeking skills and inviting prestigious organizations to the institute.
