Conferred as the "Best Upcoming B-School" by ASSOCHAM in 2017, GLF Business School (GLFBS) was initiated in 2009 to act as a catalyst to the evolution of management education in the 21st century. Giving downright emphasis on instilling leadership qualities in the aspirants since its inception, the institute has been producing professionals who are competent and skilled. Over the years, although the institute was offering MBA specialization in varied areas like Finance, HR, Biotechnology, Logistics and Supply Chain and so on, this was only in the current year that GLFBS started a specialization in Business Analytics. "Business analytics professionals have plethora of opportunities in the market for today. This area in India is booming and has witnessed a fast-paced growth in the recent times. Hence, we launched this specialization with the intent of enabling our students to understand
varied business scenarios," shares Prof. Lopamudra Bhattacharyya, CEO, GLFBS. Affiliated to the West Bengal State University, GLFBS always strives to design a customized curriculum for meeting the needs of the students and the industry. The institute has an in-house board of studies, which looks precisely after the academic development of the students and makes sure that the students are delivered an updated form of education. From the number of visiting faculties who take regular classes for providing latest industry insights to the experienced and proficient group of faculty members of GLFBS, students are rendered the best possible training whether it is in the classroom or going beyond the classroom. To add upon it, GLFBS have incorporated state-of-the-art facilities in its campus such as AC classrooms, Wi-Fi, Computer Resource Lab, library and many more.

"The students of GLFBS are motivated to undergo 3 months internship and are asked to go for industrial training for at least 21 days in each semester, which immensely assist in uplifting the practical exposure of the students"

At GLFBS, students are admitted purely on merit basis via a unique online entrance test. Prof. Bhattacharyya pinpoints, "We have kept the intake of only 15 students in each specialization as we never want our students to feel left out. With individualized attention and collaborative efforts, we
believe our students will march towards the route of success. "The students of GLFBS are motivated to undergo 3 months internship and are asked to go for industrial training for at least 21 days in each semester, which immensely assist in uplifting the practical exposure of the students. Taking a step forward, the institute also makes an attempt to facilitate the employment hurdles of the students through providing them with employee referral code for getting placement opportunities in companies like TCS and Cognizant.

The learning process at GLF, which merely forces the graduates to mug the curriculum and rather stimulates them to acquire an in-depth understanding of the concepts, empowers the students to turn into most sought-after candidates by the top-notch recruiters. Students are indulged thoroughly in soft skill classes and frequent study tours by the management of the institute, aiming to make them wholesomely developed by the end of the courses. Despite being first batch of business analytics, the institute is determined to grant the students with cent percent placement prospects. "By 2020, we are envisioning to commence our own university for which campus land has already been settled. The ultimate idea is to see each of our students placed in eminent designations in different part of the country and abroad," concludes Prof. Bhattacharyya.
