Dedicating life in serving others, with the belief that, “The Nursing Profession is the noblest of all Professions”, Kasturba Gandhi Nursing College (KGNC) was established in the year 2003 to train students to develop utmost simplicity, obedience, discipline

and professional conduct. KGNC imparts high quality professional education to young and aspiring candidates who have dedicated themselves to be efficient nurses. The college is affiliated to Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth University and is recognized by Indian Nursing Council of New Delhi, Tamil Nurses and Midwives Council of Chennai. The courses offered by KGNC are 4 years BSc in nursing, 2 years P.B.BSc in nursing and 2 years MSc in nursing. KGNC is located in the parental MGMCRI complex (University campus of Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth), Cuddalore, Puducherry and is benefited with the ultramodern infrastructure of the co-existing parent institution.

The college campus is well maintained and structured and has separate hostels for boys and girls with every hostel room having air-conditioner and furniture. The college provides scholarship and fellowship to the deserving and eligible candidates. KGNC’s bachelor of nursing programme enhances the clinical and intellectual ability of a student and also unearths the hidden skills of every student, thus filling the acute shortage of qualified and skilled nursing power that the country is facing and is solely dedicated to contribute to the development of emerging health care systems in public and private healthcare organizations as well as community services.
