For imparting quality education in different professional fields, the Kunhitharuvai Memorial Charitable Trust Group of Institutions (KMCT) was founded in the year 1994 by Dr. K. Moidu, a leading medical practitioner and a visionary educationist. KMCT Dental College is one of the few medical institutes with a mission of serving humanity inculcating supreme moral values to the students. Affiliated to the Kerala University of Health Sciences, KMCT conducts BDS

and MDS courses in eight specialities. The institute is providing students with paramount of infrastructure including, highly sophisticated labs, preclinical labs, and advanced instruments foster the skills of students. The college proudly owns a fully air conditioned mobile dental van with which every month 8-12 dental treatment camps are conducted at schools and for the rural population.

The constant inflow of patients on an average 400 patients per day to the institution reflects the goodwill of this institution. A library spread over 8500 sq ft with over 6000 books and 100 plus international and national journals provide a scholarly environment for learning. The

institution also encourages the students to conduct research in various specialties of dentistry, which could facilitate a change in the society and upliftment of the community. Various CDE programs by renowned speakers from different parts of the country are conducted at regular intervals for updating students and faculties about the current trends in dentistry. The college dental journal (Dental Bites), a peer-reviewed quarterly journal, publishes various research activities of the students and faculties.
