To promote sports and extracurricular activities, MEC has different clubs like Matrusri Campus Connect (MCC), Matrusri Orator’s Club, Matrusri Dance Club, Music Club, Youth for Seva and Photography Club (play a key role). The college emphasizes on social activities like NSS (National Service Scheme) and NCC (National Cadet Corps) for students and faculty members. Saad Mohiuddin won a gold medal in Judo in Inter College Tournament, A. Chaitanyahari won a gold medal in weight lifting in Inter College Tournament and another gold medal in Hyderabad Weight Lifting Championship at L.B. Stadium. Matrusri Engineering College in association with several esteemed organizations has set up R&D labs like M/S Texas Instruments (TI) Innovation Lab and BOTLAB (CSE Dept.) that have high-end modern technology. Following the norms of the Innovation Cell, Ministry of HRD, Govt. India, MEC has launched Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) to encourage and motivate students for internship programs. “The college conducts Campus Recruitment Training (CRT), soft skills program and also provides online/offline assessment platforms for the students to practice aptitude, programming and coding skills.
The technical certification programs like IT Essentials, CCNA, and Oracle Certification are also conducted. The career guidance and placement department of the college aims to provide continuous placement and internship programs, language learning and technical training sessions to enhance the employability skills of the students. More than 70 percent of the students get quality placement opportunities every year and many students are placed in top companies like Cognizant, HSBC Software, TechMahindra, Hitachi Consulting, TCS, ValueLabs, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Virtusa, Robert Bosch and Amazon apart from other core companies,” explains Dr. K. Utilizing the alumni base, MEC Alumni Association annually organizes Alumni Meet which includes guest lectures, awareness sessions on the importance of selfupgradation and developing skills essential for the job market. Alumni like Ram Kapilavai (Mechanical, 2011-15), CEO of Sri Subramanya Solar Power Projects; Varun Kumar Subbaraju (Mechanical, 2013-17), Director of Grune Solar Power; and Abhay Joshi (ECE, 2013-17), Founder and Chairperson, (R)Evolution Let’s Change, encourage students by sharing their entrepreneurial life experiences, thereby motivating the budding engineers.



Located in Saidabad, Hyderabad, Matrusri Engineering College has an intake of 120 students each in Civil Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering, 180 in Computer Science and Engineering, 60 each in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Information Technology.
