Established in 2005 by Claretian Missionaries, an international society of Catholic Priests and Brothers, St. Claret College provides quality and holistic education to the student community of the northern belt of Bangalore city. The college is affiliated to the Bangalore University and follows the curriculum and programmes prescribed and curated according to the University norms. "Apart from the set curriculum, putting additional efforts, we regularly conduct specialization as well as add-on programmes in association with reputed organizations and keep our students abreast with the industry demanded skills," shares Dr. Sabu George, Principal, St. Claret College. Commerce, Science, Management, Computer Science, Social Work, Travel & Tourism, and Humanities where the students are offered varied long-term and short-term courses classified into PG, UG, Diploma and PG Diploma level. "We are committed to including more programs shortly after having a thorough discussion with the industry experts so as to make our student's industry ready," pinpoints Dr. George. The flexibility of choosing a course from the wide range of options available assists the students to pick subject according to their desire and interest.

Innovative Learning Methodologies

The teaching team of the college is another asset for the students, as each one of the teaching members is equally talented and dedicated to giving a productive shape to the career of the students. "This practice provides a platform to our students to develop and get involved with new projects themselves via experiential learning," opines Dr. George. To inculcate a research aptitude among students, another innovative practice, "Lakshya" is embraced by the college with the motto of inspiring the students to formulate research papers followed by presentations at students' level, based on a particular field of study with the assistance of teachers.

Dr. Sabu George, Principal

A Doctorate in Business Administration from St. Ambrose University, USA, Dr. Sabu George completed his MBA from Bangalore University and has an M.Phil Degree in Business Administration from Madurai Kamaraj University. Currently serving as the Principal of St. Claret College, previously he was the Principal of St. Claret Undergraduate College, Arunachal Pradesh. His research interests include employee engagement, corporate social responsibility, and ethics.
