Central Police Force Sports Quota 2026 Notification Out

CRPF announces 521 vacancies for Head Constable and Constable posts under the 2026 Sports Quota. Applications open October 12 and close November 11, with eligible sportspersons selected based on sports achievements and trials.

The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has released its recruitment notification for 521 posts of Head Constable (General Duty) and Constable (General Duty) under the Sports Quota 2026. Eligible male and female sportspersons can apply online from October 12, 2026, through the official CRPF recruitment portal.

The application window will remain open until November 11, 2026. Candidates will also be allowed to make corrections to their submitted applications between November 12 and November 14. The vacancies are available across 22 sports disciplines.

CRPF Sports Quota Recruitment 2026: Vacancy Details: Of the total 521 vacancies, 182 are for Head Constable (GD) and 339 are for Constable (GD). The Head Constable category includes 150 posts for male candidates and 32 for female candidates, while the Constable category has 258 male and 81 female vacancies.

The recruitment covers sports including athletics, aquatics, archery, badminton, basketball, boxing, football, gymnastics, hockey, judo, kabaddi, karate, shooting, taekwondo, volleyball, weightlifting, wrestling, wushu, yoga and other specified disciplines. The notification contains the detailed event-wise distribution of posts.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must be between 18 and 23 years of age as on August 1, 2026, subject to applicable age relaxations. For the Head Constable (GD) post, applicants must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognised board or university. Candidates applying for Constable (GD) must have passed Class 10 or an equivalent examination.

Applicants must also meet the prescribed sports achievement criteria. The qualifying sporting achievements should fall within the period from September 30, 2024, to September 30, 2026. The recruitment is intended for meritorious sportspersons who meet the specified participation, medal or position requirements in recognised competitions.

Selection Process and Application Fee: The selection process includes document verification, Physical Standard Test, sports trial and medical examination. There is no written examination for this Sports Quota recruitment. Merit will be prepared based on candidates’ sports achievements and certificates as prescribed in the notification.

Male candidates from the UR, OBC and EWS categories are required to pay an application fee of ₹100. Female candidates and applicants belonging to SC, ST and Ex-Servicemen categories are exempt from the fee. Candidates should submit their applications through the CRPF recruitment portal and verify all details and documents before final submission.
