Indian Army Opens Applications for JEE Main 2025 Candidates

- Indian Army invites Class 12 PCM students for TES-55 Permanent Commission.

The Indian Army has opened applications for unmarried male candidates who have completed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) and took the JEE (Main) 2025 for the 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme (TES-55). The program is set to start in July 2026, and chosen applicants will receive Permanent Commission upon finishing their training.
As per the announcement, solely unmarried male applicants aged from 16½ to 19½ years as of July 1, 2026 are qualified to submit applications. Candidates must have been born between January 2, 2007, and January 1, 2010 (inclusive of both). The Army has stated that the birth date indicated on the Class 10 certificate will be considered definitive.
Applicants should have obtained a minimum of 60% in PCM during Class 12 from a recognized board and must have taken the JEE Mains 2025. Applications from candidates barred by UPSC or engaged in criminal cases will not be accepted. Ninety job openings have been officially declared. The figure is temporary and could be adjusted according to organizational needs.
The four-year training course will take place at Cadet Training Wings in CME Pune, MCTE Mhow, or MCEME Secunderabad, and will be followed by one year at the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun. Upon successful completion, candidates will receive an engineering degree, excluding retroactive seniority.
After commissioning, officers will be assigned the rank of Lieutenant with a salary range of Rs 56,100-Rs 1,77,500 according to Level-10 pay matrix. A monthly Military Service Pay of Rs 15,500 is also relevant. Extra allowances such as risk and hardship, dress, transportation, and children's education allowances will be given according to established standards. After finishing three years of training, cadets will earn a monthly stipend of Rs 56,100.

Selection will rely on shortlisting criteria that encompass JEE Mains rank, followed by the SSB interview and medical assessment. Candidates who are shortlisted will be invited to SSB at selection centers situated in Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bengaluru, or Jalandhar. The ultimate selection will depend on SSB performance.
Applications need to be submitted through the website joinindianarmy.nic.in. Applicants can modify their information up until the submission due date. For the SSB, one must bring self-attested copies of Class 10 and 12 certificates, the JEE Mains 2025 result, and proof of identity.
