Synopsis:  Indian Navy extends applications for the 10+2 B.Tech Cadet Entry Scheme 2027, inviting eligible candidates to apply for permanent commission officer training through a four-year B.Tech programme.

The Indian Navy extends the application deadline for the 10+2 B.Tech Cadet Entry Scheme 2027, providing eligible candidates additional time to apply for officer-level technical roles. The scheme offers a pathway for young aspirants to join the Indian Navy through a four-year Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) programme at the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala.

The recruitment programme invites applications from unmarried male and female candidates who have completed their Class 12 education with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) subjects and have appeared for the JEE Main 2026 examination. Shortlisting of candidates is based on their JEE Main performance, followed by further selection stages conducted by the Indian Navy.

Under the scheme, selected candidates undergo a fully supported B.Tech training programme and are prepared for commissioning as officers in the technical branches of the Navy. The course focuses on developing technical expertise, leadership abilities, and operational skills required for modern naval services.

The available positions are offered in technical fields including Mechanical Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering. A total of 60 vacancies are announced for the January 2027 course, with candidates receiving specialised training that combines academic learning with naval education and practical exposure.
