Indian Navy Extends Agniveer Apprentice Application Deadline

Synopsis: Indian Navy extends the application deadline for Agniveer Apprentice Recruitment 2026 till July 5, allowing eligible candidates to apply for 01/2027 and 02/2027 batches through the official recruitment portal.

The Indian Navy has kinda extended the application deadline for the Agniveer Apprentice Recruitment 2026, giving more time to the eligible aspirants to actually submit their applications. Earlier, the window was shorter, but now the registration for the 01/2027 and 02/2027 batches will stay open until July 5, 2026, at 5 PM. 

This recruitment push is basically meant to shortlist unmarried male candidates for the Agniveer (Apprentice) programme, under the Indian Navy. If you want to apply, you’ll need to finish the online application process via the official Indian Navy recruitment website, and you should do that before the revised end date. 

Applicants for this programme must have completed Class 10 and secured at least 50% aggregate marks from a recognised board. Along with that, they should also have a three-year diploma, with minimum 50% marks, from an AICTE-approved polytechnic institute in relevant engineering areas. 

The acceptable diploma streams include Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication, Automobile Engineering, Mechatronics, Production Engineering, Instrumentation, Metallurgy, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Manufacturing Technology, Power Plant Engineering, and other related fields (as per the notification).

For the 01/2027 batch, the date of birth requirement is between December 1, 2004 and May 31, 2009. For the 02/2027 batch, candidates should have been born from May 1, 2005 to October 31, 2009.

The selection process will begin with the Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET) 2/2026, which is expected to be conducted in August 2026. The computer-based examination will include 100 objective-type questions covering English, General Awareness, Science, Mathematics, and diploma trade-related subjects.

Candidates who qualify in the written examination will move to the next stage, which includes a Physical Fitness Test (PFT), additional written assessment, and medical examination. The fitness test requires candidates to complete a 1.6 km run within the prescribed time, along with exercises including squats, push-ups, and bent-knee sit-ups.

To apply, candidates need to register on the Indian Navy portal, log in using their credentials, complete the Agniveer Apprentice INET 2/2026 application form, upload required documents, pay the application fee, and submit the form before the deadline.

The extension provides additional opportunity for eligible diploma holders seeking to join the Indian Navy through the Agniveer Apprentice programme.
