Indian Navy Invites 10+2 BTech Cadet Entry Applications

The Indian Navy recently started the application process for its 10+2 (BTech) Cadet Entry Scheme 2026, which gives hopefuls the chance to be part of the Indian Navy as commissioned officers after completing an engineering degree.

As many as 44 opportunities are available in the Executive as well as the Technical branches, with training scheduled for July 2026 at the Indian Naval Academy (INA), located in Ezhimala, Kerala.

Applicants have to submit their applications online by January 19, 2026, and can only apply once; otherwise, they shall be disqualified. The programme shall benefit both men and women, set to fill a maximum of seven places for females.

Applicants shall have been born between January 2, 2007, and July 1, 2009, and be permanent residents or citizens of India.

In order to apply, candidates have to be those who have cleared Class 12 (10+2) exam with at least 70% aggregate marks in PCM and 50% marks in English either in Class 10 or Class 12, and were attempting JEE (Main)-2025 for BE/BTech only.

Candidates for this exam will be shortlisted for SSB interviews on the basis the  of All India Common Rank List (CRL) declared for JEE Mains 2025, and interviews will be conducted from March 2026 onwards at Bengaluru, Bhopal, Kolkata, and Visakhapatnam centres.

Candidates also need to pass a medical test as put forward by Navy standards. Candidate needs to strictly adhere to the guidelines issued, including no relaxation in medical norms and no change of interview dates/centres.

The training provided at INA is fully paid, along with a BTech degree granted by Jawaharlal Nehru University JNU, uniform, study material, and other entitlements. The cadets selected for the position would get pay along with benefits, insurance, and leave entitlement as per naval policies.
