Samsung Innovation Campus 2026 to Train 2,000 Students in AI

Samsung launches Innovation Campus 2026 in Karnataka to train 2,000 students in AI and coding, supporting industry-relevant skills, practical learning and the development of an AI-ready technology talent pipeline.

Samsung has launched the 2026 edition of its Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) programme in Karnataka, with the initiative aimed at equipping 2,000 students with industry-relevant skills in artificial intelligence (AI) and coding and programming. The programme is part of Samsung’s broader efforts to strengthen India’s technology talent pipeline.

The initiative provides students with training in emerging technologies, combining classroom learning with practical projects and industry-oriented exposure. In Karnataka, the programme is being implemented across several academic institutions with support from Samsung R&D Institute India, Bengaluru (SRI-B).

Earlier this year, Samsung expanded SIC to six additional institutions, taking the total number of participating colleges under the Bengaluru programme to 15. The institutions include NITTE Meenakshi Institute of Technology, Christ (Deemed to be University), RV College of Engineering, BMS College of Engineering and Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering in Karnataka, along with SRM Institute of Science and Technology in Tamil Nadu.

The 2026 programme places particular emphasis on AI and aims to provide learners with practical exposure to technologies relevant to the evolving digital economy. The curriculum includes areas such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, generative AI and programming, with project-based learning designed to help students apply their knowledge to real-world use cases.

The Karnataka initiative has already recorded 2,000 beneficiaries, comprising 1,100 learners trained in AI and 900 in coding and programming. A certification event for these students was held at the University of Agricultural Sciences in Bengaluru in February 2026.

At the national level, Samsung’s 2026 edition of SIC is being implemented in collaboration with the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) and the Telecom Sector Skill Council (TSSC). The company plans to train 20,000 young people in AI across 10 states.

The programme is open to young people aged 18 to 25 and combines technical training with mentorship, project-based learning and exposure to practical applications. Since its launch in India in 2022, Samsung Innovation Campus has trained more than 26,500 young people across the country. The programme recorded 48% women participation in 2025.

The Karnataka rollout is expected to further connect academic institutions with industry-led technology training while providing students with skills aligned with emerging opportunities in AI and digital technologies.
