AIBE 22 Registration Begins Tomorrow, Check Exam Date and Steps

AIBE 22 registration begins on August 19, 2026, for eligible law graduates and final-year students without backlogs. The Bar Council of India schedules the examination for November 29.

The registration process for the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) 22 will be started by the Bar Council of India (BCI) from August 19, 2026. Law graduates and those who are in the last year of their law studies will be able to register themselves for the exam via the AIBE website. The exam is scheduled on November 29, 2026.

The All India Bar Examination is an exam that qualifies the law graduates to practice law in India after obtaining the Certificate of Practice (CoP). This is the exam that is carried out by the BCI as part of the certification process for law graduates.

AIBE 22 registration portal will stay open till October 27, 2026. It becomes mandatory for candidates to submit the application form within the stipulated time frame. The last date to pay the application fee will be October 28, and the correction period will run until October 30. The admit card will come out on November 14.

A student who is in his/her final year of a 3-year or 5-year LLB course in a BCI-recognized university/BCI approved college is eligible to apply, provided he/she does not have any backlog in previous years. Students who have completed their courses but are yet to receive their degree certificate are eligible for registration according to the stipulated criteria. Students who have received their degrees but have not registered with any State Bar Council/State Bar Association or have handed over their enrollment certificate are eligible to apply.

The candidate has to furnish all personal, academic and communication information at the time of registration along with uploading necessary documents in the specified format. The application procedure is considered to be complete once the examination fee is paid by the candidate. The examination fee charged from general/OBC/EWS candidates is ₹3,500 and from SC/ST/PwD candidates is ₹2,500.

AIBE 22 is scheduled on November 29, 2026. Those candidates who qualify the examination are eligible to be given a Certificate of Practice, on condition that they meet the prescribed criteria. The tentative date for the results to come out is between January 7 and January 10, 2027.

As registration is about to start, eligible candidates should be aware of the eligibility criteria and should have their documents ready and apply on schedule. The exam serves as a means for law graduates to achieve legal practice in India.
