The Assam edition of the North East India fashion week, introduced the third edition of the primer fashion event, Affluent Ray of Light(ARL) to showcase some of the best talents from the industry. ARL is a non-profit organisation dedicated to globalise the social and cultural aspects of different tribes of North-east India. The Assam edition of the event, christened 'The Khadi Movement - Assam Edition' at Assam Engineering Institute field in Guwahati on August 26. With a focus to promote indigenous creations and to provide a further push to art and culture from this part of the country, marking the anniversary of Swadeshi movement, launched on August 7, 1905.
