The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has decided to offer scholarships for poor students to complete their education. "IGNOU will soon announce scholarships for children from economically backward families," says vice chancellor M. Aslam. He also mentioned that efforts would be made to make education free for such students if they opt for IGNOU courses. The Vice Chancellor made this information public while speaking on the occasion of the Republic Day celebration at the IGNOU campus.
