Most training institutes help people with no work experience gain the necessary skill sets in a particular domain to get a job. However, there are a few training institutes who focus on training employees of companies and giving them a set of new skills that will lead them to become effective managers. With this in mind, Practical Methods was established, which would provide the necessary skills in the IT Service Management, Project Management, and Quality Management, technical training, Soft skills and tools. The academy primary caters to those candidates that are interested in becoming first time managers and those who are already managers, helping them fine-tune the skills required to move to next level in their career. The IT Service Management course which includes the ITIL Foundation, ITIL intermediate and ITIL expert is the flagship program of the academy. For students who are interested in Project Management the academy offers courses in Prince 2 and PMP. It also provides a course of CPRE which is widely used for hiring people for the post of requirements engineering. For those interested in obtaining the yellow, green, black or master black six sigma belts, the academy provides them with the relevant training.
Their biggest clients are the corporate and their trainers have delivered training to large IT clients both domestic and international like IBM, Dell, Ericson, Tesco etc. "We have employees from many large and medium IT companies pick up the ITIL training courses, at the same time there are quite a number of personnel from these companies and students who sign up for the project management training courses," says Shiv.
