The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) was set up in 1963 by the Government of India as an autonomous organization to help professionalize the country\'s foreign trade management and increase exports by developing human resources; generating, analyzing and disseminating data; and conducting research. The Institute\'s portfolio of long-term programs is diverse, catering to the requirements of aspiring International Business executives and mid-career professionals alike, which includes MBA in International Business, Executive Masters in International Business and Certificate Programs in Export Management.
IIFT over the years has undertaken path-breaking research studies with organizations like WTO, World Bank, UNCTAD and the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. The Institute has also trained more than 40,000 business professionals across 30 countries in various facets of international business and trade policy via its Management Development Programs. In this year, the average salary at the Delhi and Kolkata campuses of the IIFT has increased by almost 15 percent. The institute\'s average salary for the 2014 batch is Rs.14.32 lakh. Last year, it was Rs. 12.4 lakh. In addition, the highest domestic offer at the campuses stood at Rs. 24 lakh when last year it was Rs. 22 lakh.
