University of Surrey is located in the suburban part of Guildford, 30 kilometers away from London. It was officially established in 1966 and is one of the pioneers in fields like Science, Engineering, Medicine and Business. It also has the highest employment rates among all the UK universities at 96.9 percent, marginally surpassing the likes of Oxford and Cambridge.

The University has also turned itself into a major hub for satellite and mobile communication research. Prime Minister of England David Cameron recently publicized a tie-up between Universities of Surrey, Dresden and King's College of London to develop the 5G technology. This is a testimony to the university advancements from a technological standpoint.

The university is also socially aware as it organizes programs such art exhibitions, musicals, plays, dance performances, Festivals and team up with local schools to keep the populace around the vicinity interested and at the same time educated. They also help in maintaining a balance in the environment with their longstanding commitment to reduce Carbon emissions and recycle waste to create a good environment in the county.
