Ural Federal University provides high-quality Master's and Doctoral degree programs in Russian and English taught by leading professors and researchers of national and international level. Considered as one of the leaders of Russia in terms of implementation of online courses and electronic educational resources including 6 Courses on edx.org, 49 Online Courses on The Open University, and 3733 Online Courses for Blended Learning, the tuition fees at UrFU remains lower than in Moscow and Saint-Petersburg, as well as Europe and North America. Perfect destination for International Students
Having more than 4300 foreign students from 101 countries including students from India, UrFU is an international university welcoming student from all corners of the globe. UrFU has a special Adaptation Center for international students for full support of foreign students in all matters of their daily life starting from arrival and accommodation. UrFU runs various cultural and sports events for foreign students enabling better adaptation to the university community and the new society. At the beginning of each academic year, there is an Orientation Week for new-coming international students (offline or online). UrFU awards scholarships to meritorious foreign students based on their academic performance. Traditionally, first-year students entering engineering, technology and natural sciences education programs with high exam scores get a monthly scholarship of 10 000 rubles. Every year UrFU students can receive personal grants, such as the 'Alfa-Chance' scholarship, 'Potanin Charity Fund' scholarship, scholarship of the Sverdlovsk Region Governor, President of Russia scholarship, scholarship of the first President of the Russian Federation Boris Yeltsin and others.

Foreign applicants have the opportunity to receive a Russian Government scholarship to study at UrFU which includes: free tuition for the entire period of study in a chosen specialty; a monthly scholarship (for the entire period of study, regardless of the candidate's academic results); providing a place in a university dormitory. The selection of foreign applicants is carried out by Rossotrudnichestvo through its network of representative offices in different countries, as well as through Russian embassies abroad. Apart from that, there is an annual Open Doors Olympiad: the winners of the competition get early admission to a Master's or PhD program for free at UrFU. Every year UrFU awards 20 grants for foreign postdocs and the University has a flexible tuition fee discount system: a 4% discount for advance payment (for each year of study). Furthermore, applicants who earn 40 and more points at the entrance exam get a tuition fee discount between 10 and 30% for the entire period of study.
UrFU faculty members are highly qualified professionals of national and world level. Amongst 4500 pedagogical staff there are 583 Doctors of Science, 1878 Candidates of Science, 1108 Associate Professors, 285 Professors, 23 Members of Russian Academy of Sciences, and 38 Members of Foreign & International Academies. Nurturing the Indian Students
UrFU has been actively, very successfully cooperating with educational and scientific organizations of the Republic of India for many years, training qualified personnel for the country. At the moment, 20 Indian citizens are studying at UrFU on bachelors, master's and PhD programs and are taking Russian language courses at the preparatory faculty to take a degree in Russian at UrFU afterwards. Every year, several dozens of Indian students take part in UrFU summer schools offline or online. Students from India are mostly interested in programs related to engineering and natural sciences in which Ural Federal University has strong positions in the world. Indians choose such programs as Nuclear and renewable energy technologies, Food Biotechnology, Cognitive Neurosciences, Technological Machinery and Equipment, IT, Data Analysis.
UrFU pays special attention to cooperation with India as a BRICS partner country, strong & reliable, society and market.
