Vignan's University: In Pursuit of Industry Trends
The number of universities that are trying to provide their students with the necessary skills to become employable has gone up considerably. The University which is located in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh offers a range of options to students, faculty members and researchers to showcase their areas of expertise to the industry. One such example is the workshop conducted by the School of Mechanical Engineering in collaboration with Shukra Infotech, Hyderabad on "PSYBOTICS". The workshop gave a bird's eye view on robotics and participants were able improve their knowledge in the areas such as Control Systems, Sensors, Actuators and Microcontroller programming with which they will be able to make five difference configuration of Robots.
In a similar manner the university has conducted workshops in fields such as IC Engine Design, Android Application Development and also a variety of other workshops in the fields of management. By conducting such workshops the university is able to provide the students who study in various institutions under the Vignan's University to gain practical experience in their field of study. It is also important to note that the University encourages its students, faculty and other researchers to take up more number of research activities.
Medical Image Registration of Brain Image, Hybridized Auto Rickshaw, Solar Electric Battery Charger, Portable ECG System Design, Modernization of Embedded and Real- time Computing Lab are just some of the research areas that researchers at Vignan's University have researched. Vignan's University which several departments across the disciplines of Engineering, Pure Science and Management consistently organize a number of conferences, symposiums and workshops which attract scholarly participation from all over India. It is important to note that the university has signed an MoU with the University of Massachusetts Lowell in the fields of Engineering and Management and a faculty exchange program with Fraser Valley University in Canada and Napier University in Edinburgh, United Kingdom.
