National Science Education Conference Offers Free Registration

RIE, NCERT Mysuru announces a National Conference on Science Education from December 28 to 30, 2026. Registration is free, while selected participants receive travel and accommodation support.

The Regional Institute of Education (RIE), NCERT, Mysuru is conducting a National Conference on Science Education between December 28 and December 30, 2026. This is an occasion that will provide all educators, researchers, teachers and other professionals a chance to deliberate on new developments in the field of science education.

The official conference announcement also indicates that there will be no registration cost for the delegates. Also, the hosting organization will take care of the travel and accommodation expenses of the delegates, depending on the prescribed criteria. Reimbursement of travel will be available on eligible rail and state bus tickets.

RIE, NCERT encourages teachers, scientists, researchers, educationalists, school teachers, industry experts and research scholars to send in their research papers on science education. Those who wish to participate should submit their abstracts which should be a summary of the research undertaken by them, highlighting the objectives, findings and conclusions of their research.

The abstract must not exceed 200 words. Abstracts will be considered according to parameters such as originality and academic excellence among others. Selected abstracts will then be invited to submit their full research papers for the conference.

Some of the topics that have been incorporated into this conference to reflect how science education is evolving include research embedded pedagogy, Viksit Bharat 2047 Science Education, Traditional Knowledge and Modern Science Education, Digital Technologies & Artificial Intelligence Science Education, Environmental Sustainability & Climate Literacy, and Science Career Pathways.

Full-length paper participants are expected to submit original and unpublished research papers not exceeding 2,500 words. The manuscripts are supposed to be formatted according to the given guidelines and should be submitted in MS Word document format, Times New Roman font at 12-point size and 1.5 line spacing.

The conference strives to provide a common platform for all educators, scientists, researchers, policymakers and people from industries to exchange ideas and look into new methods of science education. The conference also tries to foster academic interactions and collaborative research efforts.

Selected full-length paper authors get chances to make oral or poster presentations at the conference. Organisers announce the Best Oral and Best Poster Presentations, where three excellent presentations in each category are acknowledged based on their academic value.
