SBI Foundation Opens Youth Fellowship for Social Impact

  • SBI Foundation invites applications for 14th Youth for India Fellowship promoting rural development.

The SBI Foundation which handles corporate social responsibility for the State Bank of India Group has started accepting applications for its 14th youth fellowship program the SBI Youth for India Fellowship.

This opportunity invites young graduates and professionals who want to develop their communities to join a one-year program which will help them create sustainable development solutions for rural areas in India.

The fellowship program lasts for 13 months and its participants work in rural Indian communities while collaborating with 15 partner non-governmental organizations.

Fellows develop personal project work through their selected research areas which include 12 different thematic fields that range from health and education to environmental protection and rural livelihoods and women's empowerment and water conservation and technology and food security and social entrepreneurship and alternative energy studies.

The various fields of study enable fellows to use their abilities in order to tackle real-world development problems that affect local communities.

The 14th batch permits Indian citizens, Overseas Citizens of India, and citizens of Nepal and Bhutan who are between 21 and 32 years of age to apply. The confirmed SBI officers at Scale I and II can also apply. The interested candidates need to finish their applications before the deadline of March 31, 2026.

The SBI YFI Fellowship established its first social impact program when it started its first year of operation. Through its 12 completed program batches, the organization has sent more than 700 program graduates to work in 250 different villages which span 22 different states and union territories.

The current 13th batch of the program consists of 94 fellows who work on field projects to solve local problems while creating sustainable development solutions.

By this fellowship program, SBI Foundation intends to create social change in rural India while developing social leaders who will work for community development through their understanding of development complexities.
