MCC Extends NEET 2025 Round 2, Adds 197 MBBS Seats
- MCC adds 197 seats in Round 2 counselling for 2025 admissions.

An additional 197 seats have been incorporated into the National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET UG) Round 2 Counselling seat matrix for the academic year 2025, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) said.
According to the notice, it has been communicated that the MCC of DGHS has obtained information from two institutes, ESIC Medical College in Hyderabad and Jawahar Lal Nehru Medical College in Belagavi, to incorporate a total of 197 seats into the seat matrix for Round 2 of UG Counselling 2025.
Consequently, an aggregate of 197 seats has been included in the Seat Matrix for Round-2 of UG Counselling 2025. Among these, 9 additional seats have been incorporated into the ESIC Medical College in Hyderabad, and 188 more seats have been introduced at the Jawahar Lal Nehru Medical College in Belagavi.

MCC has informed candidates via another official notice that it is currently updating the seat matrix for Round-2 of UG Counselling 2025 by incorporating newly accredited seats provided by NMC. Moreover, the examination of NRI documents is underway. Thus, the responsible authority has opted to prolong the timetable for Round-2 of UG Counselling 2025. The updated timetable for Round-2 of UG Counselling 2025 will be posted soon on the MCC website.
MCC has recently published the seat matrix for the NEET UG round 2 counselling for the 2025 academic year for MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing admissions. According to Medical Dialogues, the seat matrices indicate that 1134 new seats have been added, 13501 seats are confirmed vacant, and 7088 seats are effectively vacant for the Round 2 (MBBS/BDS) - UG Counselling 2025.
