NBEMS Opens Recruitment 2026 for 53 Vacancies From July 7

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has just changed the timetable for its 2026 recruitment drive, and it start the online registration process from July 7 2026. This hiring drive is basically meant to fill about 53 vacancies across different Group A, Group B and Group C positions, so it should open doors for eligible candidates in admin type, technical type and even medical - related roles.

The application window will stay open up to July 31, 2026. Candidates who are thinking about applying for NBEMS positions need to pass their applications through the official recruitment portal after first checking the eligibility requirements, the qualifications for each post and also the other important instructions. The organisation suggests that applicants finish everything within the time limit so there are no last minute problems or small hitches near the end.

The open vacancies list includes two positions for Deputy Director (Medical), plus one post for Junior Programmer, four posts for Junior Accountant, seven posts for Stenographer, and also 39 posts for Junior Assistant. The total of vacancies can be adjusted depending on organisational needs, and various administrative decisions that are made.

Eligibility criteria, they sort of swing depending on the actual position. If someone is applying for the Deputy Director (Medical) role, they should have a recognized postgraduate medical qualification, and also they have to satisfy the set age limit. As for Stenographer applicants, they must have completed Class 12 along with the usual shorthand and typing competencies, nothing less. Meanwhile, Junior Assistant candidates need a Class 12 qualification too, plus basic computer knowledge, so they can manage routine tasks smoothly.

The selection process has a Computer Based Test (CBT) Stage I, then usually a Computer Knowledge, or a Skill Test wherever it is really applicable. Also, the recruitment process generally does not include an interview stage for Group B or for Group C positions, it just moves on without that part.

People applying from the General, OBC, and unreserved buckets are expected to pay an application fee of Rs 1,500 plus the GST that applies. On the other hand, applicants who come under SC, ST, PwBD, categories, and also women candidates are relieved from paying this fee, so they dont need to submit it.
