NEET UG 2025 MCC Converts 188 Candidates to NRI Category Now

  • MCC provisionally approves 188 candidates’ conversion to NRI category for NEET UG 2025 counselling.
  • Document submission by August 3 is mandatory; final verification at allotted colleges and MEA.
  • PwBD registration extended to August 3; Round 1 results due August 6; counselling ends October 3.

Provisionally, 188 candidates would be regarded by the MCC as NRI candidates based on the NEET UG 2025 entrance examination, recently announced.  The MCC granted NRI status based on an examination of documentation submitted by candidates that was consistent with NRI standards.

 In order for an NRI candidate to be officially recognized, the candidate will have to submit a PDF copy of the original document or the application via email to ug.nri.mcc@gmail.com before August 03, 2025. The assigned college will make the final verification relying on the Ministry of External Affairs or the respective High Commission for certifying NRI status.

Required documents include:

  • NEET UG 2025 scorecard
  • A self-declaration confirming NRI/OCI/PIO status (or parent status)
  • OCI/PIO card, if applicable
  • NRI Embassy Certificate as applicable
    Original documents must be presented at the time of reporting, or eligibility may be revoked

Apart from that, the MCC has further extended the Round 1 registration deadline for PwBD candidates until August 3 because of delays in the distribution of disability certificates. The Round 1 seat allotment results will be released on August 6.

The complete NEET UG 2025 counselling cycle has opened up on July 21 and the choice filling will be open until August 4, 2025, to accommodate registrations for both AIQ (All-India Quota) and sate quota. The cycle of counselling
