NTA Announces CSIR UGC NET Exam Date – Check Full Details Now

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the timetable for the Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2025 exam. According to the announcement, the CSIR UGC NET 2025 exam is scheduled to take place on one day.
The announcement also mentions that the exam city slips will be issued 8 to 10 days before the exam. After the city slips are released, candidates who have signed up to take the exam can verify on the official website at csirnet.nta.ac.in.
The notice states that the CSIR UGC NET exam, which acts as the qualifying test for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), recruitment for Assistant Professor positions, and entry into PhD programmes at Indian universities and colleges, is scheduled for July 28, 2025.
The assessment will now take place on one day for all five subjects. This timetable was updated in response to requests from multiple candidates who reported a scheduling conflict with the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) 2024, scheduled for July 26 and 27.

The UGC CSIR NET exam will take place in Computer Based Test (CBT) format nationwide for five subjects: Mathematical Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Life Sciences, and Physical Sciences.
The test consists of three sections: Section A — General Aptitude, Section B — subject-related MCQs, and Section C — advanced analytical questions. The complete examination is worth 200 marks and lasts for 3 hours. Negative marking will be implemented, with a 25% penalty for each wrong answer, although this may differ by section and subject.
