The 2026 undergraduate entrance exam season is underway with several key tests for students seeking admission into engineering, medical, agriculture and other professional degree programmes across India.
Aspiring students who want to enter competitive admissions programs need to understand the important application deadlines and exam schedules and registration windows for major national and state-level exams.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) started online application process for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 examination which became available for registration on February 1 2026 through the website jeemain.nta.nic.in.
The window will remain open until February 25, 2026. Engineering applicants receive another opportunity to apply for BTech, BArch and BPlanning programs which allows previous Session 1 test takers to return and take the test again. The examination will take place between April 2 and April 9 2026 through computer-based testing in various urban locations.

The Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2026, national examination will be held from May 11 to May 31 2026 with application submission continuing until January 30 2026.
The National Testing Agency will announce the NEET UG 2026 details through an upcoming notification that will follow their previous syllabus release which the National Medical Commission issued.
The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) 2026, will probably take place on May 4 5 7 8 and 9 at the state level while TS EAMCET 2026 will occur between May 9 and May 11. The TS EAMCET application process will start on February 19 for students who want to apply to engineering agriculture and medical programs.
The examination schedule which includes multiple tests throughout India forces students to prepare for their entrance examinations which will decide their admission to colleges in the 2026-27 academic years.
