In a pivotal step aimed at transforming higher education in Eastern India, Sister Nivedita University (SNU) has formed a strategic alliance with global cloud technology leader Salesforce, making it the first private university in the area to incorporate Salesforce learning directly into its academic programs.

The formal partnership was revealed at a press conference held at ITC Royal Bengal. This effort signifies a significant change in the way universities equip students for the requirements of today's job market.

At the briefing, Mr. Sanku Bose, Group CEO of Techno India Group and Dean of the School of Engineering at SNU, emphasized the immediate necessity for changes in education. “The traditional curriculum is no longer enough. Our commitment to innovation means constantly aligning our education with what the industry truly needs. Staying ahead of the curve is in SNU’s DNA,” he said.

The educational program will cover areas including engineering, management, media, and agriculture. Students will gain from practical labs, directed projects, and engaging modules provided via Salesforce’s Trailhead platform, guaranteeing immediate application of knowledge in a work environment.

Originally focused on 1,000 students, the program seeks to create a digitally skilled, employment-ready workforce, directly tackling the skills shortage frequently mentioned by industry experts.

Through the incorporation of Salesforce technologies into its fundamental academic framework, SNU is establishing a benchmark for educational institutions in the area, providing students with a competitive advantage in the current evolving job market and asserting itself as a pioneer in forward-focused education.
