Founder & Chairman

Prof. Dr. A. K. Natesan is the founder and Hon. Chairman of SRET and Excel Group of Institutions. He has a MBA from NIT, Trichy and a PhD in financial management from PSG College of Arts & Science. Through the SRET trust, Dr. Natesan has founded various Labour Eradication Schools, Educational Guidance and Exhibition (EDGE) and the Excel group of institutions to help improve the society.

About:
Excel Business School was established in 2008 at Komaraplayam, Tamil Nadu. The institute which is part of the Excel Group of Institutions was set up by the SRET - Sri Rengaswamy Educational Trust, Komarapalayam. The trust is a charitable trust established in the year 2001 with an aim to foster higher education for all and to provide excellent professional education in rural India to uplift the downtrodden communities.

Programs Offered:
The institute offers to its students an MBA degree with specializations in Finance, Human Resource, Marketing and Operations. The intake limit for the program is 240.


Institutional Resources:
EBS has built a state of the art SPSS Lab (Statistical Product and Service Solutions) which is used for statistical analysis. Primarily used by students who specialize in marketing, the software helps them in completing their market research assignment which will help them make their presentation and reports better. The institute has also built seminar halls which are utilized when guest lecturers are invited to give speeches on various topics or for any of their cultural activities.

Unique Teaching Methodologies
From its inception, EBS has noticed that in order to bridge the gap between the education institutes and the corporate organizations, they must try to perfect the existing activities such as presentations, filing reports, participating in debates and forums and various other activities. The institute encourages its students to take part in group discussions which are conducted by selected student chairpersons.

The student or the student committee also enhances the communication skills of the other students by conducting class discussions. The faculty members at the institute ensure that the students are also taught on how to present a presentation and see to it that a large number of presentations are carried out by the students.
Students are also asked to work on assignments and present individual or group reports based on the guidelines set by the faculty members. EBS invites guest lecturers from various fields to give speeches on a variety of topics which will help the students understand the corporate world better and navigate through it more easily.

Sports and Cultural Pursuits:
Over the recent years, institutes have realized that it is important for students to keep themselves fit and have time for recreation. At EBS, the students are provided a gym facility for body fitness. While indoor games such as table tennis, chess and others are provided inside the hostel, the institute has built four badminton and three volley ball courts in its campus.

While all these sports activities help students win various events on the sports days conducted by EBS, the institute also hosts a range of management events and fests. Apart from their annual national level management meet known as Equinox, the institute organizes the NIPM ­ a national level quiz program, MAK Expo ­ an event for budding entrepreneurs. EBS has also set up an Entrepreneurship Development Cell and also conduct various CSR club activities such as an Eye Care Camp and
