Dr. S. G. Deshmukh,Director Dr. S. G. Deshmukh is the Director of ABV IIITM, Gwalior. While working as a faculty member of IIT Mumbai and Delhi, he conducted several projects sponsored by various departments of the government and offered consultancy to many industry leaders such as ACC, Bharti Telecoms, IOC, and Nucleus Software. Prof. Deshmukh has written several journals of international repute and is affiliated with professional societies such as ASI, IIIE, ISME, NCQM, and POMS among others.

Top notch Curriculum:
IIITM follows the standards of instructions similar to those practiced in IITs. There is a continuous evaluation of students in every course. Every year, the class committees give feedback to the institute and there is a formal system of feedback by students for every teacher. The MBA thesis is evaluated by an interdisciplinary team of experts and high standards are maintained to ensure quality of research output in master's thesis.

Infrastructural and learning facilities in the institute:
IIITM Gwalior has ensured that its infrastructure has excellent quality. The institute has built academic blocks comprising state-of-the-art lecture theatres, laboratories, library, hostels, sports complex, seminar hall and residential facilities for faculty and staff. In order to fulfill its objective to do research in the fields of technology and management, IIITM has built state of the art research facilities such as Basic Laboratories, Generic Computing, Communication Systems, Computer Networking, Business Informatics and others.

Partnerships with Industries/ Industry-Institute interaction:
The Institute promotes active collaboration with the industry and therefore students are required to undertake industry oriented projects during the advanced stage of program. By undertaking such projects the students gain exposure to real life industrial problems in the working environments of organizations and demonstrate various aspects of testing, quality and commissioning.

Hostel:
Students can board in any of three boys' hostels and one girls' hostel which have capacities of 800 and 150 respectively. Each student is provided with a single room and the institute has ensured that each and every room has internet accessibility. Each hostel is provided with a reading room, badminton court and table tennis board for the students' recreation. The residents are offered breakfast, lunch and dinner on all days including holidays. Doctoral candidates with families could be allotted separate quarters within the campus subject to availability.

Sports & Cultural Activities:
The sports complex of IIITM comprises of a swimming pool, a basketball court, lawn tennis court, billiards room, 2 gymnasium halls, 2 squash courts, multiple badminton courts and several table tennis boards. In addition, the institute has ensured that students are able to utilize the football field, one cricket ground, additional tennis court, and additional billiards table.

The institute also encourages students to take part in their annual cultural festival AURORA. Various cultural events are conducted over a period of three days to promote friendship, teamwork and alliances. IIITM also conducts Urja and Twaran for the students to show their skills in the track and field competitions. While Urja is an intra-institute event, Twaran is an inter IIITM athletics where students from four IIITMs in Allahabad, Jabalpur, Kanchipuram and Gwalior participate in the event.
