Dr. A. K. Sen Gupta has a corporate experience of more than 20 years. He started his career at Punjab National Bank and moved on to take up various International and National assignments including at World Bank. During his 20 years long academic stint, he worked at National Institute of Bank Management -Pune as Professor, Finance, S. P. Jain Institute of Research & Management, Mumbai as Director & SIES College of Management College as Director and Mentor. He is the Founder of Higher Education Forum,the biggest education forum in India in the space of higher education.

About:
South Indian Education Society (SIES) is one of the oldest Educational Trusts in the city of Mumbai in existence since 1932. In the year 1995, upon realizing the rising need for management education in the country, the Trust established SIES College of Management Studies. Located at Nerul, an important node of Navi Mumbai, the institute since its inception has been catering to the needs of various management education aspirants, as a new generation Business School.

SIES College of Management Studies (SIESCOMS) is the first B-School to have stream-specific special corporate interactions captioned "Virtualities". The week-long event is a platform where over 200 corporate speakers share their knowledge and expertise to young management students. It is designed to provide students across the country an opportunity to display their talents and skills acquired in various disciplines.

The institute organizes series of corporate interactions known as corporate interaction series (CIS) every Saturday to help students to make a smooth transition from the college campus to the corporate office.
The institute works in close collaboration with the corporate in Mumbai and outstation through leadership talks, CEO lecture series, concurrent projects, skill-linked internship projects (SLIP), corporate mentorship programs, among others that prepare the students perfectly for a corporate migration.

The programs at SIESCOMS are aimed at holistic development of students. Towards this, there are several unique initiatives. These include dedicated social initiatives such as NGO projects (dedicated 1 week) and other social activities like organizing blood donation camp, helping the children living in orphanage, arranging series of talks on social issues on a fortnightly basis, among others. The other unique initiative is involvement of students in research activities.

Management Programs Offered
· Masters in Management Studies (MMS)
MMS is a 2-year full time management program affiliated to the University of Mumbai and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
· Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM )
PGDM is an AICTE approved 2-year post- graduate program addressing the needs for multi-faceted, multi-skilled managers who are capable of handling complex situations and are quick to adapt to change. This program is aimed to create global managers with Indian values and mindset. This program is offered in different specializations: Marketing, Finance, Operations & HR with further facility of dual specialization.

· PGDM (Pharmaceutical Management)
PGDM (Pharmaceutical Management) It is a 2-year full-time AICTE approved program catering to the needs of the Pharmaceutical industry, and offers education on industry specific subjects. SIESCOMS was one of the first private sector business schools in India to have this program for health care sector.
· PGDM (Biotechnology Management)
Biotechnology is a unique industry and has its own individual demands, causing exceptional needs for the industry. In this kind of a scenario, SIESCOMS & SIES Indian Institute of Environmental Management (SIES- IIEM) took the lead in launching the PGDM (Biotechnology Management), a 2-year full time AICTE approved program. The program is a unique offering that combines core competencies of the both the institutes: management and bio-sciences.

· AIMA - PGDM Program for Working Executives
AIMA-PGDM program is an AICTE approved 2-year PGDM program meant exclusively for working executives. This is a week-end program and classes are conducted on weekends.

· Doctoral (Ph.D.) Program
The institute is a research center for the PhD program of the University of Mumbai in various areas of management. The areas of research under this center include General Management, Marketing, Finance, Human Resource, Environment Management and Strategic Management.
